Job 35:13
Surely God will not listen to empty talk, Nor will the almighty regard it. Although you say you do not see Him. Yet justice is before Him and you must wait for Him.
Empty talk are words that we speak but carry no purpose or profit. They come out of the persons mouth merely but do not produce fruit. They are words that are only said but never done. So they become worthless and pointless. They do not profit the person and the hearer but only cause destruction and ruin. There are no actions to prove the effectiveness of these words are therefore they are just empty words that profit nothing.
God will not listen to empty talk or words because they are meaningless to Him. God does not waste words, every word He speaks carries truth and a purpose. Empty words can be foolish talk, evil jokes, lies, etc that are careless and corruptive Ephesians 5:3-6 this is why we should be careful at every word we say for we will give an account every single word we have said. The very words we speak will be used against us to prove whether we are right or wrong. These very words will judge us on the last day. So its important to understand that we shouldn’t talk anyhow or anywhere. We must think before we speak. But most of us we speak before thinking and therefore we utter words that don’t make sense. This is why God does not hear empty talk, first because it not from the heart, its not right, no faith, no fruit, it doesn’t bring Him glory and don’t carry value or purpose and yet God is a God of purpose.
Empty words lack fruits
1John 3:18
My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
Any empty talk or words will have no fruit and truth. we just love to say them and tell them to others but we don’t want to do what we say. We even make promises to act on our words but they are only empty promises because there are no actions following the words we speak. Many of us love to talk don’t we? We tell God how we want to serve Him and work for Him and yet we not doing anything about it. We keep saying I will join evangelism, I will join this ministry or that but we still haven’t. We tell God how we want to live for Him all our lives but we haven’t given Him all of our lives, we still running back to the world and doing things that are not of God. We are afraid of letting go of our garbage and allowing God to take over our lives. We keep saying i love you lord but don’t show it and if we don’t show it we don’t meant it. We don’t spend time with Him, We don’t study His word, we don’t get involved in the things of God, we are always focused on other things or people rather than God. Our heart is far away from Him. Those are just empty words full of lies and God does not listen to none of them, they are a waste. He wants us to love in deeds/actions and in truth. We must mean what we say and do accordingly.
Corruptive words
Ephesians 4:29 New NKJV)
29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary [a]edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
Corruptive words do not impact but only bring destruction to ones faith, hope and life. corruptive words don’t build one another but destroy one another even the individual, corruptive talk include words that hurt, hateful, jealousy, bitter, filled with anger and wrath. such words are not profiting to the body of Christ, they only cause death and not life. Where there’s corruptive talk, there’s no growth, edification, expansion and establishment. Proverbs 15:4 tells us that Gentle words bring life and health but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit. This means corruptive or harsh words damages the sprit which hinders one to function. Our words must be kind like honey sweet to the soul and healthy to the body Proverbs 18:4. Our words should be life giving water to build and strengthen each other as the body of Christ. To impact those who hear them and to Glorify God. Such words does God regard and expect from us.
Empty words wont change your life or your situation, you will remain the same person with no progress. If they are not truthful or sincerely they carry nothing, they lack faith and product. We may utter many words but God will not listen, however much we make many prayers if they do no come our of a sincere heart, they just empty repetitive words that God cannot hear Mathew 6:7. Let us run away from such talk and mean every word we say and put some action to them. let us only speak life giving words to build the body of Christ such as words of healing, comfort, peace and restoration.
