We live in a world full of struggle, misery, pain and suffering. We all go through different storms in life, and face different problems that we must deal with at one way or the other. This life is full of depression, full of anxiety, worry and sometimes we may seem that there’s no end to all these struggles. We become hopeless, lost and feel abandoned.
This life is full of challenges that we face almost every day of our lives, like loss of a loved one, financial problems, a report from doctor of a new diagnosis disease or illness. Feeling unloved and rejected. Marriage problems, Barrenesss, inadequancy for necessaties, betrayal and hatred not reaching our goals more and more. But regardless be encouraged, there’s light shining on in this dark world, there’s light at the end of the tunnel, there’s hope that we can endure all this, Jesus is the light of this world John 8:12 and the hope for this world Mathew 12:21. Therefore we are not alone and definately not forgotten. We must learn to rest in God and His word. The only hope we have is Jesus and He is enough!
A Fallen World
This is not new to us living in this present generation, This happenned way back after Eve and Adam ate the forbidden fruit, sin came into the world. We live in a fallen world, where by sin separated us from God thus from being friendship with God to being proud and enmity with God which leaves us with diseases and death Genesis 2:16, 3:2-19 Exodus 15:26, Deut 30:15-20 from being obedient to God’s rules to being rebellious and frustrated at every cost. From knowing God’s truth to being ignorant and having a confused depraved mind. This wasn’t God’s plan but we fell from our original position in the garden of Eden. Therefore we struggle with sin,we experience disaster, pain, loss, injustice and inequality. This all is evident in the bible. In Exodus 1:12 Israelites were inflicted by the Egyptians, they caused them to suffer and were grieved. Abraham and Sarah did not have children Genesis 11:30, Joseph was hated and rejected by his own brothers Genesis 37:12-36 even Jesus exeperienced pain, hatred rejection and death but He died for our sins to reconcile us back to God. Isaiah 53:3, Romans 5:8
Jesus our Hope
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer,I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
The good news is that Jesus is our hope!this is why Jesus came into the world, all this brought Jesus to earth to save mankind and bring restoration. Now because Jesus came there’s hope and you find that the people in the bible who faced various storms in life were not destroyed by those storms but they were delivered by God. Jesus said in the world we will have trouble thus why we experience all this, but we should be courageous, be strong, and not lose hope because He overcame the world, He overcame satan and his powers! He overcame sin and therefore we are victorious through Jesus. We are more then conquerous ,through Him that loved us. 1 corinth 15:57, Romans 8:37. This is why we cannot be consumed. Yes! what we going through may look real, but it is not permanent! God is our present Help in time of trouble, when we walk through the fire we will not be burnt. God will save us. Psalm 46:1, Isaiah 43:2, Deut 31:6
God will deliver You
They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way; They found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, Their soul fainted in them. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He delivered them out of their distresses. And He led them forth by the right way. Psalm 107:4-7
Psalm 107 is great chapter worth to read that shows God’s goodness and deliverance to his people. The great men & Women in the bible like David, Job, Moses, Joseph, Abraham, Sarah, Esther, the apostles and many more, went through what you go through today, pain suffering and troubles but they sought God trusted Him and His word. They relied on God and He saved them. Psalm107:6, Psalm 34:19. The ultimate goal is to do what they did, to rely on God, seek Him and trust Him at all times. Trust His word, trust His promises and depend on Him for all your needs. Yes its not easy, its very hard, but we need to be strong and have whole lot of faith and patience, those who wait on God will never be disaapointed Isaiah 49:23, Psalm 25:3. Read His word for comfort and for your faith to increase in the midst of crisis tell God your problems and wait patiently for Him. He will not fail you He answer you and deliver you and you will testify. Yes You will see His goodness in your life as you trust Him. God is faithful! Psalm 40:1-3, psalm 130:5.
