The Gift of Salvation

What great love has the Father bestowed on us, What amazing grace He has lavishingly poured on us. God has given us His precious gift freely that all who recieve this gift, are children of God and can spend eternity with Him in heaven. This gift is called salvation. It is the greatest gift given to mankind without measure by a loving Father. It is the best and greatest gift mankind can ever have throughout their lifetime here on earth.

Ephesians 2 :1-3

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lust of our flesh, and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

If we read carefully this verse, it gives us reasons to why God has given us His free gift and why we need it. It shows how amazing His grace is towards us and how  unconditionally His love is.  From the beginning of the world when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, sin came into the world Genesis 3:6. Since that time and now, every human being born, is born in sin, that includes me and you. We were born into sin, the sin of Adam and Eve. The serpent who is Satan took over and separated us from God.  He is the prince of the power of air, the prince of this world, he is the spirit that works in all people who are disobedient who refuse to believe in God and reject God’s gift of salvation.  We were are all by nature children of wrath because of our sins. Before we recieved salvation we were bound by Satan, captured and ruled by him, walking in the lust of our flesh and mind. Thus satisfying our fleshly needs and having a worldly mind, being controlled by Satan who blinded our eyes to see and know the truth even up to now to those who are not saved.

Ephesian 2:4-9

4 But God who is rich in mercy, because of his great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ(by grace you have been saved) 6 and raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness towards us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not for yourselves, it is the gift of God. 9 Not of works lest anyone should boast.

This scripture shows how God is abundant in mercy and how unconditional His love is towards us. When we were born in sin and living in sin, God sent His son to die for us. John3:16. Christ took the penalty of our sin that we deserved, He became sin for us. 2corinthians 5:21. He didnt deserve to die but we did. But in His great love for us, God gave Him up as a sacrifice for our sins so that we can be reunited with Him Romans 5:8. He was crucified died on the cross and rose up again1 Corinthians 15:4. This means because of Jesus’s death and resurrection, God made us alive together with Jesus so we can be with Him, live with Him and be together in heaven with Him. This is the gift of salvation given to us by God through His grace. God shows His exceeding riches of His grace and His kindness towards us through his Son Jesus who gave himself as a ransom for us that we may live. We can only recieve this gift through faith. This means we have to believe in His son Jesus and believe that He died for us. We have to believe that we are saved by the grace of God and not by our works or our ourselves. We must accept His son Jesus, repent of our sins and follow Him. This is the greatest gift God has given to us. Jesus is Gods gift to us.

Salvation is a free gift for everyone. If we don’t accept Jesus and follow Him, we refuse to accept God’s gift and therefore receive eternal punishment and that’s hell John 3:36. But for those who receive this gift, have a relationship with Jesus and will receive eternal life, life here and life to come with God forever.

Have you received this precious gift? Have you accepted His son? Do you have a relationship with Jesus, because Jesus is the way to God. You cant follow God and not follow His son. Jesus is the way the truth and the life John 14:6. If you have, Great! You are saved. If You haven’t, recieve Him now, let Him come into your life, He will change your life and you will never regret.  Now is the time,  tomorrow may be too late. This is the best decision you can ever make in your life and you wont be the same again.

How can we receive this precious gift?

Romans 10:9 says that if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart, that God raised him from the dead  you will be saved. This is the only way to receive the gift of salvation. If you want to receive this gift, I urge you the to say this prayer with all your heart:

Lord Jesus, I believe you died for me and that God almighty raised you from the dead. Please forgive me for my sins, I do repent. I ask you right now to come into my heart and life as my Lord and saviour. 

Thank you for praying this prayer, you are now saved and there’s feast in heaven Luke 15:7 just for you. Always remember you are loved.
